I first met Barbara in the schoolyard when I was six and she was seven. We became fast friends and remained so for the past 60 years. We went all through school together, met the loves of our lives and married within months of each other. The four of us were friends ever since. I cannot ever remember us having a bad word between us. We had what we called our "ESP" radar and would pick up the phone and say I was just thinking of you, at the same time. A friendship like this is a rare and beautiful thing and one I will treasure always. We miss you Barbara more than words can say. You are gone from this world but will remain forever in our hearts. Aunt Barbara was the most kindest, sweetest, unpretentious, person I knew. She was ready and willing to help anyone in anyway she could. We are shocked that she is not here. So glad we had dinner with you on Saturday Barbara. Looking forward to seeing you in Heaven some day.

The last time that Aunt Barbara visited my Mom's home (Beverly's) was last Saturday night. She came down for "dinna" and joined me and other family members as we reflected on the one-year anniversary of Mom leaving. We were hoping to get a Scrabble game going on Sunday after she finished-up at church; it didn't happen, however. I figured she must have gotten a better offer from someone; maybe to go out for brunch or go to a movie! I must tell you, she was in such good spirits when we last chatted. She was so looking forward to going to Florida and seeing her longtime girlfriend and towards the birth of another great-grandchild...,etc. I am stunned by this one, stunned! I have so many memories of Barbara, Donnie, Mom, Home...and I am so grateful to the powers-that-be to have shared my life with them all. Love forever; Susan

I always thought Barb had the best smile and she was always sharing it. I will miss her on Facebook now that it's hard to get down to Owl's Head and our old meeting place at Varnum and Helen's is gone. Gonna miss you Barb. Gonna miss them all.

Growing up in Owls Head I so remember the times Barb and Donnie and the kids were visiting next door at my sisters house.. Barb always had a great attitude and a wonderful sense of humor. Her kids were her life and that was always most important to her along with her husband.. Many a memory I recall with times spent in Owls Head and am so thankful that Barb is and will always be a part of those.. I can only imagine how happy Barb and Donnie are now that they are reunited. Thanks for the memories!!
