When i first met dana i was at trackside,this was about 23 years ago.A week before i met dana,I had bought a 357 pistol.I did not know it was stolen.So when i first met dana he grab me lifted me up off the bar room floor put me aganst the wall,he says you have some thing of mine,you must be talking about the 357.once Dana let me down,I told dana how I came by the gun.I gave dana the gun back the next day,he asked me how much i payed for the gun,I told him 200.He gave me the 200. back.I told him no that i cant take that money that would"nt be right.well he would not let me leave until i took the 200.From that point on we were friends.

My condolences to Dana's family, I met Dana when I was a teenager and he use to ride his horse in competitions. Dana was always so funny and kind...he was a great person.

I have been thinking and thinking and its as if my mind is just blanking out on me...but i do know this, growing up i was always at my uncle dana and aunt sandy's house! bri and i were closer in age and were always together and bub and jimmy while brittany was jst running around wherever she could, I learned so much growing up there,so much about family! Family was never defined by blood there,so much about life and love. no one ever had to question love in the house, uncle dana would wrap his huge arms around me and lift me rait off the ground! and sadly enough i grew up and had my own family in which i was not so close by and ppl know how easy it is to ge wrapped up in everyday life that i hardly ever went down there my biggest last memory is jst my uncles big smile and his unforgetable voice and giant bear hugs! im forever going to regret not coming to visit more an will always remember you youll alway be in my heart uncle dana i love you more then any words i could ever try to choke out on paper!<3

We were all family on the Grierson Road growing up. From horseback riding to just raising the roofs, it was all about fun in the neighborhood. The pranks the laughs undoubtedly was talked about for years. Always a kind and thoughtful person, Dana will remain in our hearts forever. A big teddy bear with a tender smile. Such a kind, great soul gone too soon. I will never forget the kindness, generosity, and love Dana showed to me and my family. He also went way out of his way many times, just trying to help and please others.
